Aug 2023 SDAV and DDAV stronger m-o-m; 8M23 volumes softer y-o-y

• Singapore Exchange (SGX) posted securities daily average value (SDAV) of S$1.07bn in Aug 23 (+5% m-o-m, - 3% y-o-y), still relatively subdued given the elevated interest rate environment. This brought 8M23 average SDAV to S$1.1bn, markedly lower than the average S$1.3bn in 8M22 when the interest rate hikes commenced.
