What's the Catch for the Trust Cashback Card's 15% Rebate?
Due to cashback caps in the preferred category and the required minimum eligible spend for three consecutive months, it may not be realistic to expect a full 15% cashback return.
For example, in the ideal scenario where you spend exactly S$2,000 per month for three months—and S$1,667 of that falls under your preferred category—the total cashback received would be S$293 (S$250 from the preferred category and S$43 from other categories). This results in an effective cashback rate of 4.88%, which is significantly lower than the advertised "15%", as detailed in the table below.
