Last week we attended the sailaway of Petrobras’ P-78 Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel at Seatrium’s Benoi yard. The project was won in 2021 with a contract value of US$2.3b with the FPSO being among the largest in the global operating fleet of FPSOs with a production capacity of 180,000bpd and 7.2m cubic metres of gas per day, as well as a storage capacity of 2mmbbl. It will be deployed in Brazil’s prolific Buzios field, the largest deepwater oil field globally.
