- Sembcorp announced today it is exploring the potential divestment of SembWaste, its waste management business, and its energy from waste (EfW) plant. Sembcorp has appointed The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corp Ltd (HSBC) as financial advisor, and preliminary discussions with selected parties have commenced. SembWaste posted S$13.86m FY22 net profit with est. EBITDA of S$34m.
