• ComfortDelGro has partnered with Zurich Insurance to launch travel insurance (single-trip travel policy for individuals and groups) that can be purchased via its Zig app. This covers travel disruptions caused by vehicle breakdown en-route to Changi Airport, reimbursing customers up to S$1,000 to cover additional accommodation or travel expenses.

Raises platform fees to cover higher costs

• Starting 1 Jan 2025, ComfortDelGro raised its platform fee by 30-50 cents to a range of S$1.00-1.20 based on distance travelled and travel time to defray higher operating expenses (i.e. CPF and insurance coverage for drivers) from implementation of the Platform Workers Act. Meanwhile, 2 more ride-hailing operators (Trans-cab and Geo Lah) will start in 2025.
