Stock Incubator Part 3.1 -- Creative Technology Limited
On 29th Nov 2018 Creative Technology made an announcement titled "75 Million Users To Enjoy Super X-Fi Headphone Holography As Creative Partners With iVideoSmart".  That is a piece of positive news as it signals Super X-Fi technology is being used commercially but definitely not as bombastic as "Creative Partner Smartphone Maker For Super X-Fi Solution".  This is mainly because not many people know iVideoSmart and what products/services/solutions its offers.  iVideoSmart might have seen something in Creative's Super X-Fi technology that could give an edge to business if not the partnership doesn't make any business sense.  Nevertheless, this is a little positive step forward for Creative on its Super X-Fi technology. On 3rd Dec 2018 another announcement from Creative Tec

What have I been spending on ?
Having lived on dividend income for the past 4 years, my household is relieved to have earned income flowing in again. I am personally quite happy, but mainly for the "perverse" reason that I will be paying income taxes again next year. The big question for financially independent folks who find a way towards earned income again is what should a person do with it ?My hobbies are relatively cheap. I buy tabletop RPG PDF books and then read I them like a book of Statutes. I have relatively little wants and my household spending is as lean as ever.My problem is largely solved by the pact I have with my course attendees. I put in slightly more than half my earnings into a leveraged account on a portfolio we jointly co-create together. That still leaves the other half to be spent.A large part of

Creative Technology Analysis (3)
Continued from Creative Technology Analysis (2)As mentioned in Stock Incubator -- Creative Technology blogging of any technical analysis shall be ceased so here will be the last post to summarize up all the analysis so far and what's expect going forward. The recent weakness in global stock markets have in a way invalidate the previous wave count.  From the look of it, there are 2 possible wave counts.Wave Count 1 (Blue)Since the drop from $10, it has developed into a large ascending triangle with (a), (b), (c) and (d) of the triangle being formed.  The fall to intra-day low of $5.51 on 11th Oct 2018, dropping out of the triangle shall be considered as wave (e) of the triangle doing an overshoot.  As such, the triangle pattern has completed and the rebound now should see

Stock Incubator -- Creative Technology
Never have I invested in a stock in the past was first looking at its Technical Analysis instead of its fundamental.  Normally, the nature of the company's business, the quality of the products or services being offered, the quality of management, etc will be the first few factors that will attract me to do more research on the company and determine is it worth to invest in.  However, for Creative Technology, this will be the first stock (and hopefully last) that I get attracted to initially is from the Technical Analysis of its price performance.  I was analyzing for the price to move in Elliott Wave pattern after the company announced its new product, the Super X-Fi, which many said is the "holy grail" (refer here and here).  I wasn't impressed with the product initia

Valuetronics Analysis
The following is the Elliott Wave Supercycle degree chartTo ensure the Supercycle wave count is more accurate, the following criteria are being adopted.1. Any economic recession shall occur in Supercycle degree corrective wave2. Any severe weakness in company or industry fundamental shall occur in Supercycle degree corrective wave3. Any weakness in company or industry fundamental can occur in Cycle degree corrective waveThe followings are the possible wave count.Wave Count 1 (Black)Supercycle Wave ((1)) in 2007 and Wave ((2)) in 2009 due to 2008 GFC.  It completed Wave ((3)) in Mar 2018 and now in Wave ((4)).  Though during these periods there isn't any economic recession, the ongoing US-China trade war and the concern of oversupply from its client on smart lighting which are hav

Creative Technology Analysis (2)
Continued from Creative Technology AnalysisThe price of Creative Technology breakout from correction on 19th Sep 2018 as described in previous analysis.  Though the correction pattern is able to use an Elliott Wave double-three (zigzag - triangle) combination pattern to describe, it is still pretty unsure whether the whole price performance (from past to future) follows Elliott Wave.  Creative Technology fell from $10 to a low of $5 during the correction and the Elliott Wave count reached the end of the correction at $5.66.  The lowest price of Creative Technology since the peak in 2000 is at $0.855 happened in September 2015.  If from that point to $10 is considered a wave 1 in Elliott Wave, the depth of the correction at $5 is between 50% to 61.8% Fibonacci Retracemen

Capitaland Analysis
Came across Capitaland chart and found it is rather interesting from Elliott Wave Supercycle degree, assuming its price follows Elliott Wave pattern. The data was from 2000 till now and for that period of 18 years, it appears only move from Supercycle Wave ((C)) to Supercycle Wave ((1)) and to Supercycle Wave ((2)).Wave ((C)) happened in 2003, the period when economy recession (2001 to 2003) plus SARS outbreak sent its price into correction.Wave ((1)) peaked in 2007 prior to the 2008 GFC due to US subprime crisis.  In general market indices and most stocks recovered from the correction in 2009 but Capitaland continued the corrective till now, a period of 11 years.  It is quite a lengthy correction but not impossible in Elliott Wave Supercycle degree, the longest encountered so far
