Operating expenses grew by a faster 11.0% y-o-y to S$1.4b; as a result, operating profit nudged up 1.1% y-o-y to S$109.4m. This translated to a 0.6 percentage point (ppt) compression in EBIT margin to 6.7%, due to a combination of ramp-up costs associated with new food facilities as well as impact from the Middle East conflict.
