- Following Sembcorp (SGX:U96)’s proposed transaction to acquire 245MW of operational renewable wind, solar and hydropower assets to its current portfolio in Vietnam and expand its renewables presence in the country to over 450MW, Sembcorp has also announced that it has signed two separate agreements to acquire a total of 428MW of wind assets in China and India.

- Sembcorp also plans to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions intensity to 0.15 tCO2e/MWh by 2028, half of its forecasted 2023 levels of 0.30 tCO2e/MWh. Gas will continue to be leveraged on as a transition fuel to fund renewables growth.
